Educators at the Heart of Greening Education: A Climate Resilience Toolkit for Policymakers, Tues. April 28, 2026, 8:00am-9:00am EST

Registration opens on April 26, 2026: https://tinyurl.com/mrxb3uxt

Join UNESCO’s Greening Education Partnership for the launch of Educators at the Heart of Greening Education: A Climate Resilience Toolkit for Policymakers. As climate change increasingly disrupts education systems, damaging infrastructure, interrupting learning and placing growing pressure on teachers and education personnel, this event will highlight the urgent need to better support educators on the front lines, while safeguarding their well-being.

This event will introduce a practical toolkit designed to help policymakers assess system readiness, identify gaps, prioritize feasible actions and strengthen cross-sector coordination - placing educators at the center of policy and planning. It will explore how collaborative approaches and educator perspectives can shape more effective, climate-responsive education systems, and how the toolkit can be applied within existing planning, adaptation and recovery efforts to help education systems better prepare for and respond to climate-related challenges, while strengthening overall resilience efforts and supporting educators to deliver quality climate change education.
